Since I was a child I have been fascinated by books and history, and am particularly interested in the Georgian & Victorian era. My favourite 19th century authors are Jane Austen and Charles Dickens, who captured the challenges of their respective time period like no other. (imho)
By profession I’m a foreign language correspondent, an engineer and about to finish retraining as a journalist (with a special focus on culture & travel writing about the UK) next spring.
